New Years Resolutions!

While I am active and exercise all year long, I still like to re-evaluate things around New Years. A lot of this is because I slack a lot (i.e. drink) during the holidays, so when January hits, I feel the need to get extra motivated to make up for lost time.

My resolution is the same as every year: add muscle. But this year I really want to start focusing on cardio and flexibility as well, two things I usually ignore. To accomplish this, I plan to add at least 20 minutes of cardio to the end of every weight-lifting workout, and I am going to start trying out yoga.

So, do you have any goals for the new year, and what are your plans for achieving them?

My goal was to at least attempt P90X. After 30 minutes of the first workout, I'm exhausted. I'm going to have to work hard to get into shape.

P90X is fucking hard! I'm in good shape, and I was exhausted halfway through the first workout as well! Don't even get me started on the Leg workout. I did about 15 minutes and felt like I was going to vomit.

Oh alright. My goal this year is to walk (or shuffle) for 30 minutes without having to sit down and rest. I haven't been able to do that since early 2007.

I think my resolution is to be less needy this year and to feel free/good/happy about myself and my situation knowing that any time is a good time.

:):)Want to come nearer to gentleman category...in laymans lang want to become more human by helping others...

:):cool::):cool::):cool::)

My New Years Resolution was to sit on my fat ass, drink beer, and watch some NFL Playoff action. I'm glad to say that I am currently on pace to achieve all those goals. :beer:

Seriously though, P90X has always intrigued me and I have thought, from time to time, about trying it out. But since I exercise precisely NEVER, it would probably kill me, literally. Any suggestions, should I give it a shot?

My wife and I have begun daily yoga exercises, and I hope to gradually eliminate caffeine from my bod.
