James mentioned on his Facebook page that he's closing up shop.
That’s sad news. It would be interesting to hear James’s thoughts on why it has stopped being fun and what would need to change for it to be fun again? One of the things that always attracted me to Star Trek New Voyages was that it really comes across on screen that you guys (both on and off camera) are a group of passionate fans doing something you love. Do you know yet if you guys will finish up existing projects before stopping? Also by removing the post is James having second thoughts about stopping? He deleted that FaceBook post on his wall an hour or so after making it. He posted it about 11:00 last night EDT.
It's a trait that often comes along with being quite a theatrical or dramatic person, so it's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm very measured and unflappable and rarely fly off the handle and do things without consideration... but I'd be a terrible actor. The access to emotion near the surface has its positive and negative sides. All this kind of behavior does is make one seem like they have a very fragile ego.
the negative energy from the dust-ups with the STC folks
