New Uniforms for Into Darkness?

I saw some crew members on the bridge wearing different uniforms, plus the traditional uniforms. I am not sure yet how I feel about the new uniforms.

They aren't bad, I just hate to see the traditional style from the series jettisoned after only one movie.

Thoughts?

Well, from the 9 minute thing, it seems like a few characters on the bridge were wearing away team/hazardous environment suits but I don't think the uniform itself has changed.

Uhura, Sulu, McCoy and Kirk just had the wetsuits on.
The basic uniforms are still the same.

It does seem though that they get to change plenty of outfits in this movie.

Thanks, that is good to know. While I would be open to new uniforms, I do like the fact that we finnally are seeing the classic uniforms on the big screen.

I don't see why not.
It can be done with phones today using something like the liquipel coating.

Following the last movie, someone ID'd the boots as being this (at that time already-discontinued) style. (Or, in black.)

I'm still waiting for the wetsuit removal and decon gel rub scene.

They should have redesigned the uniforms from the start. Radically updating the look of the Enterprise and then having everyone running around in the pajama uniforms was slightly odd.

It's akin to Batman running around in Adam West's costume in Batman Begins.
