For reasons that have nothing to do with Star Trek, I wish they didn't mention Sanctuary Districts, since 2024 now sounds like a "real" year instead of a "future" year. All I can think of are the politics and what would happen in Current Events that could lead to that.

If they end up in the very near future, I hope they deal with Sanctuary Districts or the aftermath of the Bell Riots rather than ignoring it like Voyager did with the Eugenics War.

Strangely, I'm not. In-Universe, the TNG Series didn't end so much as it just went straight to Generations. By having it so Picard hasn't seen Q since "All Good Things" that makes it feel like AGT really was the end of at least something on an In-Universe Level.

In a way, AGT will always be the end of TNG for me. The best of all possible ends.

Look up a couple posts. there is a sanctuary district mentioned on a poster. Whether they will actually be dealt with or only mentioned in passing, who knows.
