NEW Trailer description online!

James Bond

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
TrekMovie has posted a description of what is apparently an early version of the first theatrical trailer, reported by AICN.

Description sent in to AICN

We saw the teaser trailer and then we saw what looked to be a very very early version of the full trailer – It showed more footage of [Quinto] as Spock, much more Chris Pine and also some John Cho and Simon Pegg footage. The film looks like immense fun and there seems to be a lot of action in it. There look of the crew and the bridge is spot on and the costumes look like the original but with a more modern and practical twist. We got to see Spock talking to his parent as well and Kirk being told to take more responsibility. There were also a lot of montage scenes involves spaceship battles, gun fights and hand to hand combat. I especially like a short clip where we see the crew running through the corridors of the Enterprise – reminded me of Next Generation loads.
Nice.

Just read that too, glad 'someone' finally got to see something. Can't wait until we all get a look.

Yeah, like the original poster in another thread said, I'm starting to go a little nuts for some pictures at least.
I guess we'll get the trailer in early November.

So what they're telling me here is that this new Star Trek film will involve space battles, starships, a ship's bridge, gun fights, hand to hand fighting, and people running through corridors?

MY GOD, it's like nothing we've ever seen before. ;)

That's it!! I'M BOYCOTTING THIS MOVIE!!!11!1

Wow, that discription told us nothing we haven't already known...

Yeah that description doesn't really say anything. Chris Pine and John Cho are in the movie and the enterprise bridge looks spot on. You'd think if they really saw something they'd have more to say than that

I could be blind and deaf and still have come up with that description of the trailer.

I'm not sure this is even the real thing it sounds so generic. I would assume a modern SF movie in space has SOME action in it. I know Chris Pine and Quinto are in it!

RAMA

Well, that sort of confirms that they didn't drastically alter the bridge. I'll be glad to see a modernized "retro" looking bridge, if that makes any sense.

Sort of like the new Chevy Camaros that are coming out, they have that late 60's retro look but with a modern day twist.

Sooner or later, bridge pics (and others) are going to leak, there's no way they can keep a lid on this for another 8 months, although I sort of hope they do.

why does nimoy not appear? he would make a good marketing in that once the first trailer.
Or does Abrams prefer first present the new Spock and Kirk to the public?

Actually, it doesn't necessarily mean that. It just means that the viewer really liked the look of the bridge.

Trust me or don't. ;)

Anhyone could've written that description...it's too generic. If they had seen the real thing it would have some more specifics to it I'd think. but then maybe the guy isn't a good enough writer to do so.

It's not much of a description, but the writer has it sandwiched in between reviews of material from three other films - "G.I. Joe," "Lovely Bones," and "Watchmen." Some of his description of those trailers is a little more specific, so I really doubt that he made up the Trek stuff - for one thing, it's clear that he doesn't consider it the biggest deal out of the movies that he's reporting on (that would probably be "Watchmen").

Aside from which, if it were bogus I think one of Anthony at Trekmovie's contacts in the Trek production would have let him know by now that no such presentation has been made. They have done such before.

It's not bogus. I've spoken to someone I know at Paramount, who confirmed footage was shown, although it may not be in the form of the actual trailer exactly.

The proper trailer will be coming in November.

Polaris and Ghostface put up reasonable arguments for it not being bogus. If that's the case, then Jack Bauer is right -- Harry at ICaddy is simply a very bad writer.
