New trailer and TV Spot for "Inception"

The new trailer for Christopher Nolan's Inception, which one might assume will debut this weekend in front of Iron Man 2, as well as the first TV spot for the film have come online, albeit in rather low quality thanks to YouTube.

The trailer gives a much more in-depth look at the film and gives you a sampling at the film's astonishing visuals, showing much more from the film than what we've seen so far. Quite frankly, even with the poor quality video, the new footage from Inception gave me goosebumps and proves why it is single-handedly my most anticipated film of this year.

Trailer...gone. They work fast nowadays!

Trailer...back! :rommie:

I dunno. It seems too pat. Could be yet another a fancy misfire. But I did like the huge buildings on the ocean beach image...reminds me of a dream I actually had. Which suggests something intriguing: if the producers can include enough "hey I dreamed that!" images in the trailer, who knows? That could be pretty powerful and not something we've seen a million and a half times before.

Yeah, it is my most anticipated movie this summer too.

Have they decided what rating it is going to get?

And seeing Nolan reusing actors he likes to work with in multiple movies combined with the success of Avatar can only mean one thing.

Leonardo DiCaprio will be cast us Catwoman in the next Batman movie, using motion capture and CGI to make her look right...in 3D naturally.

Before I saw Iron Man 2 last week, I was reading a "summer" movie preview in the newspaper. I had two movies which were must sees. Iron Man 2 and this. So this is the film I'm waiting for the most.

I for one love the trailer, but then again I love everything Nolan has done thusfar.

I am concerned though that Warner's marketing campaign is too mysterious. I enthusiastically showed the trailers to my girlfriend (a movie buff like myself) and she hated them. She just didn't get what the movie was about.

Considering that most of the actors had no clue while making it, and they had the full script, I'm not surprised.

I'm excited for it, but I do worry that these trailers are just too nebulous when it comes to explaining what the film is about. I don't suppose that really matters, though. It's not as if Warner Bros. is going to take Nolan off the next Batman film if Inception performs below expectations.

Exactly.. i've seen the trailer twice now (once before Kick Ass and today before Iron Man 2) and i haven't got the slightest clue what the movie is about.

All i've seen are some well done special effects where entire parts of the city bend into the air and stuff like that but is it a fantasy movie? Psychological drama? Something else?

The twist to Inception is that the whole movie is actually Bale's dream. The finale showcases the twist when Bale wakes up, after taking a nap in his trailer (in the batsuit) on the set of Batman 3. Cotillard is playing Catwoman, Leo is the Riddler, Caine is obviously Alfred, Murphy is back as Scarecrow, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the Joker, Tom Hardy is Black Mask and Ellen Page is playing Miller's Carrie/Robin. They all crowd around Bale, who looks slightly dazed. Nolan comes in smiling. Bale stares at all of them and says:

"But it wasn't a dream. It was a place. And you and you and you...and you were there. But you couldn't have been could you? No, Chris, this was a real, truly live place and I remember some of it wasn't very nice, but most of it was beautiful--but just the same. All I kept saying to everybody was 'I want to go home,' and they sent me home! Doesn't anybody believe me? But anyway, I'm home! Home. And this is my trailer, and you're all here and I'm not going to leave here ever, ever again. Because I love you all. And... Oh Chris! There's no place like home!"

^I'm torn between saying either "That was pretty funny," or "You put way too much effort into that."

So I'll say both.

Anyway...yeah. Inception. Saw the new trailer, looking forward to it.
