new Total Recall trailer

Looks like it might be okay, though I'll miss "Get your ass to Mars!"

No Mars but they keep the 3 breasted lady. This is where their priority lies.

This looks kinda bad. Some of the visuals are reasonably nice (if a bit bland), but it's becoming clearer and clearer to me that this is pretty much going to be a beat-by-beat remake of the old movie rather than a new adaptation of the original short story. They just removed the over-the-top violence and the Mars setting to make it more mainstream-friendly (& thereby less interesting).

If I'm not me, who da hell am I?

Hmm, it's hard to tell really if it will just a generic action flick or actually a decent movie. And where's Johnny Cab???

I wouldn't say it looks bad, but, it definitely looks to be extremely close to the Ahnuld version, without the Mars setting/references, so, nothing really in that trailer inspires me with a need to see the new version, at this point, it just seems to be a hollowed out retread, though almost certainly the ending will have to be different.

For someone not familiar with the Arnold version, and would be turned off by the Mars setting, I suppose it could be a great action flick

It looks like they're borrowing a few things from Minority Report.

I just hope someone remembers to return Colin Farrell when they're done with him.

As someone who hasn't seen the original I thought it look pretty cool.

So, Colin Farrell is the goto guy for remakes of 80's genre movies now? And I have to admire Bryan Cranston. He's gone from sitcom obscurity to seemingly starring in everything I watch these days.

You should watch the original. Its pretty good.

I really like the original. The remake looks pretty good and I will be giving it a chance.

I wonder if they will be changing the ending.. meaning the answers to who he is.

i love films about future worlds, conspiracies and identity problems, so I am eager to see it. That said, I don't like how forced some of the film feels, like they have to use the beats of the original film so exactly. The new Rekall is interesting, coming across as a massage-type new age thing, but i doubt it will be more effective than the original where the salesman is selling memories as if they were used cars... I love the whole "matter of fact' aspect to selling memories.

I also think they are really bumping up the Lori -as an awesome fighter a bit much.

The original film was perfect... that's the main reason this film will have problems

Now that's a very good trailer. It makes me want to watch Total Recall. So I can forget about this shit as quickly as possible.

I'd think they'd have to, since "Quaid" in the original film is so closely tied to Mars and his mission there.

You realize, I'm sure, this movie is more closely tied to the original short-story than it is the Schwarzenegger movie, right? (And IIRC the original story didn't have much to do, if anything, with Mars.)
