New to ST:TNG... help!

Hi,

I am introducing ST:TNG to my wife. We found Voyager on Spike one day and she enjoyed it. (I know, not exactly the best series to start with...) We've been watching the series together and I want her to be exposed to ST:TNG. The problem is that we don't want to go through all 179 episodes. Has anyone seen a essential episode guide or condensed list with all the great episodes without the fluff episodes?

I've searched google and can't seem to find anything but maybe one of you have.

I don't know of an essential episodes guide, but these would be my picks. Some of them tie into one another. Datalore introduces the character Lore, who's seen later in Brothers, then finally in Descent. Others are just fun like The Arsenal of Freedom, or QPid. Some like Yesterday's Enterprise or The Inner Light are episodes that should not be missed... EVER. There's about 47 episodes in my list.

How about the one when Data gives cooking lessons to a gangster's horny wife and gets Mr Furley to run interference for him? Or remember when Will is bullied off the pinball machine and the Fonz teaches him how to stand up for himself? Or when ALF eats Spot?

I should add that the other reason to this condensed version of TNG is that I'll get her more hooked and so she'll want to go to Vegas for this years convention. =D

Yeah that was my plan. I'm actually in the camp that loved DS9 the most of all the Star Treks. I even dragged her to see Tamburlaine in Wash DC just so I could see Avery Brooks... who was awesome and gave a great performance. Too bad he didn't come out after the play was done.
