New TNG novel "Armageddon's Arrow" by Dayton Ward coming Spring 2015!

Re: New TNG novel "Armageddon's Arrow" by Dayton Ward coming Spring 20

That is a very nice cover.

The model of the E Pocket are using for the covers, is it me or don't they have the underside rendered.

This is the model they used (sorry, huge renders ahead, Captain):

It's the same model used in Peaceable Kingdoms, Crimson Shadow, Greater Than the Sum (shows underside) and several other publications.
If you subscribe to the Official Starship Collection, they based their 5" diecast on this model as well. It's been around.

I believe this model was orginally a quick and dirty creation for a design house bidding on the work for ST Insurrection.
They didn't win. Unlike the actual Insurrection and Nemsis 3D models, it wasn't based on scans of the First Contact filming miniature.

The Stuff of Dreams used the (far better looking and more accurate) 3D model from ST Nemesis. As did the Diamond Select/Art Asylum 18" toy.
Ignore the fact that these renders aren't "lit". This is what was used in the movie. I don't know why it's not used more than the fake one.
I assume licensing.

For some reason the Stuff of Dreams Enterprise is a photomanip of this image of a mod for the game Star Trek: Bridge Commander.
