News New Star Trek Explorer Magazine to Feature New Short Stories in Each Issue

Una McCormack, James Swallow, Lisa Klink (all Trek writers) and Chris Cooper (Doctor Who and Torchwood for Magazines and audio books) will all be writing short stories stories for the Magazine

They've announced that the new Star Trek Explorer Magazine will feature two brand new short stories in each issue, along with 2 more in a digital companion that will be exclusive to subscribers.
The first issue's short stories will all revolve around Q, with stories from @Una McCormak, and @James Swallow in the magazine, and stories from Voyager TV writer Lisa Klink, and Chris Cooper in the digital companion.
If S&S won't do anthologies anymore, that this is a nice way to get some new short Trek fiction. At least it sounds like these won't all be based on Star Trek Online, like the stories in the old Star Trek Magazine were. I was excited when announced the story stories in that one, but was really disappointed they all were tie-ins for Star Trek Online, which I wasn't interested in at the time.

Neat! Just a couple weeks ago I was thinking about Lisa Klink. I remember reading an interview with her in the Starlog Voyager magazine, probably my first one since I remember reading it several times. Nice to know she's still around.

I had a search for this yesterday and could find that it would be available in the UK but couldn’t find any concrete way available at the moment. Closer to the time maybe.

it’s confusing to search for in the UK because Star Trek: Explorer was the name of the UK Fam Club mag.

Looking forward to the stories, I’d stopped getting the magazine years ago but this will make me restart.

Never even heard of this- thought the Magazine died a couple of years ago.

This particular Star Trek The Magazine (glad we're back to them having unique names) went out with a whimper in February, but is being retooled and relaunched as "Star Trek Explorer."
