Unless I’m very much mistaken, those are the new Discoprise uniform insignia with the contrast edge and without the vertical line or the incorporated rank pips.

Seems they’re still intent on using the black cross and calling it the Medical badge, same as they did for the white Disco medical uniforms. McCoy and M’benga always wore the Sciences division badge, even on the short-sleeved medical smock in and around sickbay. The only people ever to wear the cross symbol were the nurses (most prominently Chapel, obviously...) — and the Cross was red, not black.

That aside, they look rather nice and work well as an updated version of the TOS badges — somehow nicer than the JJ movie versions.

Well it does say Enterprise in the article.

I have a Disco cadet badge and plan to get some more, I might have to get some of these too. qMX makes some great badges, I also have some of the JJ films badges and a DS9/VOY era badge.

The original article called it the Discovery Enterprise style so that's what I meant. I assume because they have the familiar symbols on them to which we became accustomed by Star Trek OS.

They look like the ones Pike and crew had on in the first episode. They were noticeably different than the ones the Disco crew has.

I'm weirdly fascinated by the Discoprise badges. Them and the Kelvin ones are two different teams modernising the same thing in very similar but different ways.
