New Purchase!

Hi all! My latest purchase I thought I'd share with my fellow Trek fans since a fellow Trek fan and old friend of mine pointed this one out to me.

The Art Asylum Wrath of Khan opener. $10 discount due to damaged packaging but the ship is in perfect condition which is perfect for me cause I display. Nothing stays in boxes around here! Should be here in a week or two.

Wattcha all think? :D

You want my honest opinion?

I have this. The ship is incredible, it's awesome, and all kinds of other positive type words.

Note, I said the ship. I didn't say the *stand* is awesome.

It's really flimsy, made of a plastic that's about as thick as a sheet of paper, and if somebody exhales on the other side of the room, it causes the ship to move when it's on that stand.

If you can have it hanging from the ceiling, or have an alternative way to display it, you're in for a treat. Oh, and the sound clips are all really cool, straight from the WOK movie.

Sweet! Ya know, I often find myself not liking the stands that come with purchases like this too so I feel ya. I've already started to think up places to display it that don't involve the stand. It will most likely hang.

I did get it, thanks! I really like it. As stated before the stand is less than worthless in fact I'm giving mine to my friend who somehow broke his...

It also came with a swatch of clothing belonging to an engineer on the Enterprise from The Motion Picture. It was sold during the Christies auction. 1 of 1500. I guess they cut up the uniform and made collectibles out of it, nice touch!

So I did hang it with some fishing line. Here are some pics of it. Sorry, my camera sucks. :)

Perfect addition to my collection!

Very nice ... Is that the Reliant in front of it?

And I love all the minis at the bottom, like they've come to witness the "real" ship coming home.

:D :D :D Thanks! I'm pretty proud of my little fleet. The ship in front of the 1701 is the Akira class I got in November, haven't painted her yet.
