All I was saying was that, contrary to your post, BBC Books doesn't hold the rights to the Virgin (or Target, or PDA/EDA-era BBC) titles, and the suggestion that they do makes extensive reissuing seem easier than it is. Having to re-contract and re-pay the writers involved adds to the money and time(=money) involved in preparing these reprints. In the business of publishing, added expenses are never a non-issue. It's obvious that BBC Books is testing a variety of ways of capitalizing on the classic series market, but they're not all guaranteed to pan out, and it's certainly premature to suggest that "it's only a matter of time" before the Virgin books begin re-emerging.
