That's the official youtube channel.If it's legit,
If it's legit, not "new" but the classic Pertwee/Baker model.
Me likey.
I didn't live in the US during that time but just from social media, videos online, crowd reactions at conventions etc it seemed at it's top during the Matt Smith era. Which is totally understandable. It certainly deserves to hold onto that, no matter who plays the Doctor. It'd be nice if they could revitalize the show. Here in the US it seems like it was in the zeitgeist during those 9/10/11 years. I'm not trying to make any statements about quality just that it was more visible.
And it deserves to be up there standing tall with the likes of Marvel, Star Wars and Star Trek.Disney isn't always the best corporate overlord but it seems as good a fit as any for the show. Tonally Doctor Who feels at home next to the MCU at least in my mind.
They just redecoratedI don't like it.
I don't like it.
It was fine then. It's too...dated, retro, passé...I love it! I've always been a big fan of the Pertwee/Baker logo and this is a nice modern update to it.
Different...things.needs more round things?
Only outside the US.
HBO Max still has the streaming rights to Modern Who in the US.
Retro is cool now.It was fine then. It's too...dated, retro, passé...
I've heard this before though, was it only rumored/in the works before this? For the moment, perhaps. From the official announcement: "Disney+ to become new global home for upcoming seasons of Doctor Who outside the UK & Ireland, BBC continues as Doctor Who's exclusive home in the UK." https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2022/doctor-who-bbc-and-disney-branded-television
By the way, the Disney+ news is bigger than the new logo news. Should that be a separate topic, or should this one be renamed to reflect the whole big news item of which the logo is a part?
