Now that I think about it, maybe the reason NERO'S ears are croped is so Kirk and crew DON'T make the Vulcan Romulan connection? But then again that would not explain why he didn't shave the very vulcan eyebrows? Just an idea.

Maybe it's because the View-screen doubles as a window? Nero is on screen, but notice the background, it looks like deep space or maybe a nebula? Just a thought.

I've thought that for a while now too, but his brows look fairly Vulcan in that transmission to me. It's hard to tell about the ears.

That looks like crap. The reflections in the viewscreen from the bridge lighting just ruin it. I can't believe the viewscreen from the 60's is superior to this.
