New Green Hornet trailer

I was skeptical of casting Seth Rogan in the role (not because of any issue I have with him, just that he was an odd choice), but the two trailers so far have made this really look like it's going to be a lot of fun.

I just hope they use the original theme music at some point. It won't be the Green Hornet without it!

(And did I mention that my story in THE GREEN HORNET CHRONICLES is now on sale?)

The last trailer left me kind of cold, but this one actually looks like a lot of fun! Looking forward to this.

Not bad. Though it really should be called Kato, juding by this. Then again, from what I know of the old tv show, the same could be said of it.

In a way, they're cleverly playing off the popular wisdom that Kato/Bruce Lee stole the show on the old tv series. Which is a fun angle to explore . . . .

Yeah, I noticed that as well, and it works well with explaining how Seth Rogen could get anywhere as a hero.

I think it's a cool angle to play off of- the sidekick is actually more of the hero than the actual hero is. Kind of a neat thing to do.

Good point. If the idea is that Kato is the real brains of the operation, than you almost have to cast someone like Rogen as the Green Hornet to get that idea across.

Although I'm sure that the Green Hornet will, against all odds, end up saving the day . . . . .

There's actually nothing clever about it. It's about as blatant and obvious as you can get. It's also not very good. Bruce Lee indeed stole the show, the Green Hornet himself however wasn't a bungling idiot. Which turns this movie from something that might have been interesting, to slapstick I have no interest in.

Because you have no interest in it does not mean that it's not interesting. It is indeed a clever idea.

The ABC Green Hornet series was forgettable other than for Bruce Lee, the eponymous character a cipher both with his mask on and as "Britt Reid." So there's no harm done in playing him for humor; it gives him at least one more dimension as a character than he had on television.

I can't speak to the radio incarnation; I'm old but not that old.

I hope the move is good, but both trailers look pretty crummy. Added to that is the fact that the movie is coming out in the dead zone of January where studios send movies to die.

It looks and smells like a bomb to me.
