New games for PS3 owners ?

Just wondering if anyone's heard any plans for Star Trek game that PS3 owners can play on ? Haven't heard anything myself but just thought I'd ask just incase

Nothing at all. I keep hoping we'll get a port of Star Trek Online. Unless Star Trek games get a new publisher, I don't think we're likely to see a major release on either the PS3 or the 360.

They won't port STO over - it's not a popular enough game to incur the expenses that a port would cost. Is Legacy available for the PS3 or was that a 360 exclusive? It's not a good game, but it's servicable.

I've never seen Legacy for the PS3 but I've got the PC version of it.

Star Trek D-A-C from PSN Store, but it kinda sucks. It's JJ-verse game.

Yeah the server crashing two weeks in a row when the new feature episodes came out due to more people then Cryptic expected showing up means this game isn't popular

In the fall of last year STO was sitting at under 60k subscriptions and probably has dropped off from there. It's not a failure of an MMO but it certainly doesn't bring in enough cash or players to warrant a PS3 port.

Yeh I've actually got that game and enjoyed it Quite enjoyed it as well just made me want a Star Trek game for the PS3 all the more ah well I'll stick to Mass Effect 2 for now

Which begs the question, will Star Trek Online ever be free to play? Does anyone in the UK know the cost per month in £££?

I bet it will be before too long, but just asking that question has brought down a shit storm of fanboys who are going to beat you about the face and neck for even suggesting that it could be F2P. I'd predict it's F2P around the time TOR comes out.

True but they would need a better selection for character faces in the customization department.

I don't have a problem with it going F2P, as per word of god as a subscriber I get the full game and 400 Cryptic Points a month in the Gold plan, where as the Silver guys aka those playing for free get a striped down version of the game and have no choice but to spend money to get stuff they might want from the C-store like with CO, though hopefully the silvers get better treatment on the forums then in CO.

I want a decent PS3 Star Trek game too.

Past console Trek games have usually been a bit cheap and nasty (Invasion, Shattered Universe, Encounters, Conquest) although I do have some of these. I want a ST console game that pushes the power of the current gen of consoles.
