Okay, I got it now. Nero blows up Vulcan, then goes and blows up earth. The enterprise goes back in time to stop him from blowing up Vulcan, but they fail. They also arrive too late to save the Kelvin, or perhaps they could save either the Kalvin or Vulcan or Spock's family or something like that. There will be a HARD CHOICE for them to make. Somewhere in there they decide to jump off the ship and they blow up the drill, or don't, but then they go kill nero.
One way or another, they go all crazy on Nero at the end of the film before they head back to the present.

I think you forgot the part where fat old William Shatner comes in and pushes Spock into the ocean and they splash around a bit.
I saw it on ESPN during the playoffs earlier, quite spectacular.
Kind of odd what was done with the audio, there. You get the announcer saying "Rated PG-13" over a shot of Kirk talking (ending at 0:31) and then silence for 17 seconds more. Some new imagery, though.
I paused on the shot of the Vulcan crust cracking open like an egg, (there's something I never thought I'd hear myself say) considering just what exactly is going on there. If you don't mind my saying, it was a very emotional moment.

Somehow the sound got screwed up when I uploaded it to youtube.
I reencoded, re-uploaded and it is fine now.

The physical control aspects that litter this movie...:
I love the lever to open the door, the square push buttons, labels, even the eight part digital displays that we havnt seen since TUC.
And the kickass warp throttle that we havnt seen since TMP.

I'm not sure it was the sound that was screwed up, though. The first one, like this re-uploaded clip, had audio to fit a 32-second spot, but it had 48 seconds of video content and contained several shots not seen here, inserted in the middle somewhere.

Honestly, i have no idea what went wrong there
Both the old upload and the new are from the same source.I had the .mp4 file on my pc and it was fine.Video and audio in sync and 32 secs long. When uploaded to youtube the problem you mentioned would come up (I tried it 3 times)
Then I converted the .mp4 into an .avi, uploaded and it was playing as it should.
The mysteries of technology I suppose.
