I think it's just that they aren't allowed to do stories set in the Abramsverse.Although I'd LOVE an epic novelverse version of the Hobus supernova, I'm not entirely sure Pocket are even allowed to feature stuff from STXI. So far we've had lots of nice little nods to the movie, but nothing big.
