I'd like a sci-fi series set in the BSG reboot timeline on Earth at the cusp of Earth discovering their lost history, FTL, and AI. The ultimate question of the show being whether or not the Cycle was truly broken.
That would be
Blade Runner. IIRC, Edward James Olmos has said that BR takes place in the BSG universe.
In my headcanon: Along with BR,
every iteration of BSG that has ever existed, or ever will exist, takes place in the same universe.*
"All of this has happened before. All of this will happen again."
I mean, nuBSG obviously has to take place before TOS, given the time frame. But let's say that at the end of nuBSG, the Cylons return to the colonies and rebuild them. They breed, as we know humanoid Cylons can. They even forget they ARE Cylons. Which leads to TOS...and every human character in it being descended from humanoid Cylons, but not even knowing it (and TOS' actual Cylons being wholly ignorant of any previous race with that name).
*Except for G1980, of course. I'm sticking with what RIchard Hatch would have done if
The Second Coming had gone to series: present G1980 as a virtual reality simulation of how first contact with Earth could go horribly wrong.
Speaking of TSC: Has ANYONE ever seen the full 30-minute film?
