In Australia (and UK?), Blind Man's Buff is also a kids' party game, where the person who is "It" gets blindfolded, spun around, and everyone else is in a circle, avoiding being caught by "It".

Yes, that's the game I was referring to in my second sentence. That game and the poker game referenced in my third sentence are two separate things. I should've made that clearer.

I for one don't mind seeing fewer of these one-word abstract titles.

    Ruminations, Constipations, Revelations, yadda yadda.

They could borrow a page from old Doctor Who, and make sure every title had the words "Horror," "Terror," or "Blood" in them.

Oh, excellent. I haven't bought a Trek book since...well, the last New Frontier.

    Something to look forward to.

Just noticed, the listings on Simon and Schuster’s website now list simultaneous trade paperback And hardcover (and ebook) releases for the Starfleet Academy books.

    Whooops! Well my skimming fails!

I'm pleased about this anywho, I can't stand the trade paperback format. Admittedly it wouldn't be so bad for these slimmer volumes (the giant floppy anthologies drive me bananas), but I always prefer hardcover on any size book, it's far more manageable, and looks so much nicer!
