New Bash: Experimental TMP-era Starfleet ringship

Forbin

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
That hyperspace ring on the Fine Molds Jedi starfighter has been calling out to me since the kit was released!

Parts:
1/1000 PL Weefit, Fine Molds Jedi Starfighter, MPC Space:1999 Hawk, Alliance resin Reliant, various Gundam scraps.

Decals: Weefit kit, which I soon wanted to banish to the Phantom Zone, so I finished with ACreation. Aztec and checkers on the ring are homemade, as are the markings.

Named after the sexiest astronomer EVAH!

:techman: Dang that's pretty. I dig how you incorporated the secondary hull undercut.

*And I agree about Mainzer after googling her :)

Very cool concept and excellent execution!
Thank you for sharing it.

Well executed. I'm always happy to see you come up with a new ship.

The only thing I don't like about it is that I think I'd like to see two rings. But that's my only critique. Otherwise pretty cool!:techman:

Actually there ARE two rings, but they're glued together (I used two Jedi starfighters). :)

Holy crap, John Eaves just said "that's so cool!" about it on Facebook!
*squeeeeee!*

I also did it when Andy Probert complimented me on a non-Trek kitbash I did. I had that email bronzed.

Holy Mother of Meatballs, Forbin!

I rolled my eyes when I saw the title of this thread. I should have read the name of the author, and known better!

This thing is gorgeous! I could imagine this popping out of a subspace disturbance in an episode about alternate realities. Or a technology testbed testing old Vulcan concepts about warp theory.

Three thumbs up!

[stops and re-counts his thumbs] Wait. Where'd THAT come from?
