New anti-war movie

... no words to describe it.

Obviously. How about, you know, posing a question? Including a poll? Posting something with a little more content and direction than an IMDB link and a comment that's completely obvious?

I mean, really, lies and media-assisted propaganda were used in Vietnam and Iraq? STOP THE PRESSES! I hope you don't crush my saintly vision of Bill Clinton by telling me he was doing anything unseemly in the White House, too.

Besides, Sean Penn already exposed the lies behind Iraq in a previous film of his:

Sean Penn: "Last year I went to Iraq. Before Team America showed up, it was a happy place. They had flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate, where the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles."

Some times anti-Whatever movies have some good story lines and some are just rubbish.

They usualy make the good "free" rental DVD when there is a rent two get one free promotion.

This is just wow, no words to describe it.

spin after spin after spin, journalists shut, wars escalated, iraq is 'for peace' and nobody paying attention until 'surprise, it was all a lie'.
Is that what it's called - "New anti-war movie"? Would it kill you to post the actual title and some indication of what the movie is about and some non-generic comment of your own on the subject, so that people have something to discuss?

Teasing with the topic title is one thing, but an opening post shouldn't be so cryptic that I have no idea what you're even talking about without clicking on the link.

War Made Easy: How Presidents & Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death

You feel that? It's the nausea of being lied to.

All-star cast:

George W. Bush ... Himself (archive footage)
Bill Clinton ... (archive footage)Phil Donahue ... (archive footage)Lyndon Johnson ... (archive footage)Barbara Lee ... (archive footage)Robert McNamara ... (archive footage)Wayne Morse ... (archive footage)Richard Nixon ... (archive footage)Bill O'Reilly ... (archive footage)
Sean Penn ... NarratorColin Powell ... (archive footage)Donald Rumsfeld ... (archive footage)Norman Solomon ... IntervieweePaul Wolfowitz ... (archive footage)
And this comment by a user and watcher:

" I Found Out That I Didn't Know What I Thought I Knew."

Captain Plot says:

War Made Easy reaches into the Orwellian memory hole to expose a 50-year pattern of government deception and media spin that has dragged the United States into one war after another from Vietnam to Iraq. Narrated by actor and activist Sean Penn, the film exhumes remarkable archival footage of official distortion and exaggeration from LBJ to George W. Bush, revealing in stunning detail how the American news media have uncritically disseminated the pro-war messages of successive presidential administrations.

Yay, my life is so much better now that Sean Penn has descended from his ivory tower to tell me what a sheep I am.

Get fucked, Spicoli.

Is this a thread discussing a movie?

Why, bless my stars, that makes it a GTV&M thread.

I'm sure the mods there will definitely "enjoy" having this thread in their forum.

Hope everyone has a productive discussion there......

So...a movie from last year is "new"?

Battin' a thousand! I await this thread's move to TNZ, where we shall peck it apart with breasts and pointing out the flaws and lack of structure/thought/planning/coherentness of the first post.

I was tempted. But I think the merry-go-round is more amusing.
