More DVDs. I have 2 copies of TNG S3 cause I was careless with the discs in my old set, and those hubs in the big plastic cases are lethal!

Yours seem to display better than mine. My DS9 and TNG are an inconsistant mish-mash of the old and new cases.

And he seems to have a mix of region 1 and 4 Star Trek DVD's. I know know what region those Galactica sets are from, but they don't look like the ones my best friend gave me.

Must have a region free player. I need to look into one of those.

Nope, they're all region 2. The big plastic TNG and TOS sets are the original region 2 releases from 2002 and 2004 respectively. The BBFC classifications on the DS9 and BSG boxes (and the extra copy of TNG S3, although you can't really see the BBFC classification with the flash shining on it) should be a dead giveaway that they're from region 2 ;)

This is my older sister and I in Seattle a mere three weeks ago:

She's smaller today, and I am an auntie! For the very first time! This is my little nephew, Liam, born in Seattle this morning at 2am, Pacific Time. He is 6lbs 10oz, and I am aching at being 3,000 miles away. But his mommy and daddy are doing well -- probably sleeping since they didn't answer the phone an hour ago.

This is the only picture I've seen so far; he's beautiful, though, in that alien newborn baby way:

And we've only just realized that my little sister is Aunt Flo...

Oh, I hate-HATE-HATE the boxes that TNG comes in. I can't stand them, and the DS9 boxes aren't much better. Gah!

That's why I threw all the boxes away (for TNG, DS9, Voyager *and* Enterprise). I have the DVDs in those sleeve case things that Case Logic has.

Who do they get to design the cases? I'm thinking the guy from SAW movies. You know, the same one who designs those plastic encasements for cell phones, cameras and all that. The stuff that eats up scissors and cuts your hands? Yeah, that guy. Who thought the fold out DVDs was a good idea? The DS9 case plastic is so brittle I'm afraid it's going to scratch my DVDs at random. It's almost as bad as the Simpsons Season 11 DVD set, with the cardboard sleeves so tight you would rip them just removing the DVD. It's poor, poor design.

I actually like our TNG boxes. At least I didn't need to use six rolls of scotch tape fixing them the way I did my DS9 sets. I agree with you about THOSE. Lousy packaging.

And Voyager isn't much better. At least TOS, TAS, and Enterprise were done right.

What confused me was that your Star Trek TOS, James Bond movies, and Star Wars movies are packaged indentically to ours here in region 1. I do think you got the better deal as far as DS9 goes. Our packages are complete shit.

He does, doesn't he? If he turns out to be anything like his mother, though, it's all a brutal facade! ;)
And congratulations on becoming an Auntie™!
Thanks, I'm thrilled!

Of course he's wearing a hat... ;)

Congratulations!
Thanks! And, my brother-in-law is quite a stylish hat wearer himself (in fact, I bought him a hat last Christmas). He's been searching for a good old flat cap for Liam, but is having trouble finding one. With my millinery expertise (that is, expertise at discovering and frequenting them), I have already found a teeny baby sized flat cap for my first Christmas present to my nephew. For his baby shower I got him a pair of patent-leather classic black and white wingtips. :D And a ball.
cute baby.

what's wrong with being 'aunt flo'?

That's somewhat related to a woman's "time of the month" when (some women) get hit with PMS. It's called, "a visit from Aunt Flo".
Indeed. It is the greatest menstrual euphemism, "Aunt Flo's making her monthly visit!"
