Cool! I can actually get in on the "ground floor" of this one. 
Me, from our Alaskan cruise in June.
In honor of a visit from my parents, we had a big family gathering at my house on Sept. 19. This is my in-law family (well, about 2/3 of it) and my parents having our traditional martini toast ... to whatever is convenient.
My Dad is the one looking a little shell-shocked on the right end there. He's not used to drinking like my in-laws do. 
But, they got the hang of it. 
My folks, The Hubby and me at sunset on Perkins Cove beach in Provincetown (Cape Cod) last week.
And, the obligatory updated pic's of "My Boys" (Kodi standing, Ledger laying down).

The Roadhouse restaurant in the same town. Did you happen to eat there? They made a mean caribou chili, and scones for breakfast that couldn't be beat.
I got a new camera for the trip. It has a foliage mode that makes flowers really pop. Here's some outside a visitor's center in Denali.

Not technically a "Dudley", by breeding. It's just that his parents are both chocolates, which gives him the "flesh tone" pigment in his mucus membranes, instead of black like most yellows.
p.s. - and I'd really like to talk cameras with you at some point, too.
I think we need to start a one-upsmanship thread of Alaska vacation pics. The land part of your itinerary is almost identical to a good portion of our road trip.
As far as cameras, I'm all game. But you may be disappointed, all I have is a decent point and shoot. I'd love to get a nice fancy digital SLR one day, but that is going to take a back seat in favor of several more pressing purchases at this point.

As a senior, I had the ability to dress "retro" for this weekend's homecoming dance. So, I did.

Even though I "broke up" with her a few months ago, and had been dating for a bit, I couldn't keep up the fiction that I'd moved on past my best friend. She's been back in my life a few weeks now, and we went to a preseason Leafs game on Saturday.
We got caught in the rain on the way back to the subway, so here we are wet and bedraggled on the train.
And at long last, we're finally a couple. I have had the BEST weekend (which included us both playing hookey from work today).

Okay, last Saturday, just down the road from my place. The secoind dust storm came through. While not as fierce as the first one, if it had happened in the US, it would have started around Nebraska and covered 80% of the East Coast. This dust was also much higher than the first one.

So not as bad as the other one, which was thick like a fog, made it hard to breathe, and lasted 'til 2:00PM.
