Which it did! New IDW ads, replacing the vintage ads for Marvel products, but the text pieces and pics from the original are all there.

They changed the adds? I thought the facsimile editions had the original adds. I guess it must just be that the new ads are in the same place as the old ones.

Yes, the new ads are in place of the old ads.

If IDW was to run old full-page vintage Marvel advertisements for things they don't receive revenue for, like 40-year-old "The Hulk" publications, but no room for any of their own IDW Trek ads, the book would not be financially viable. DC Comics' current "facsimile editions" carry the old ads... for DC stuff.

I didn't realize the ads would have been for Marvel stuff. It makes sense they wouldn't include those, they're not going to want to put in ads from a competitor.
