Never watched star trek till two weeks ago..

While I was fairly sure, I wasn't sure if a new person would know him well enough to know that. Nothing I said was intended as any kind of flame or attack against him, just as an example for the OP. :)

Good point - the OP may not know GodBen the way some of us do. And of course you didn't flame the dear boy. You're too nice and thoughtful to ever flame anybody.

Dude. Let's, like, give peace a chance.
Picard lover! :angryrazz:

On a more serious note, I was making an odd point in my own weird way. I think you're more likely to find a Star Trek fan that dislikes one or more of the Star Trek shows than you are to find one that dislikes Star Wars.

(Oh, and I happen to love Picard myself. Almost sexually. :luvlove:)

Hey, you're still alive. :) I thought that you had been kidnapped by a family of elk that wanted to keep you as a pet.

Oh, now, I wouldn't call you weird, TGB. You're special, that's what you are. Very, very special.

But I do agree with your analysis regarding Star Trek vs. Star Trek.

And Picard, for that matter.

And Jeff, I had an extended haitus as well, and you know, some things just don't change around here, and I mean that (mostly) in a good way.

And I thought we weren't going to discuss that time in the wilderness when the local fauna took a perversely condescending interest in yours truly. I made you promise!

There is truth in the Deranged one's words.

But seriously, I do welcome you to the fandom. It's a wild ride and we hope you enjoy your stay.

Then I have failed. :(

I shall endeavour to make less sense in the future.

You made me promise not to discuss it? I thought you made me promise to report it to the Associated Press! :alienblush:

On topic... I like DS9. :)

If you want a oddball, here I am.

I love DS9 and ENT, enjoy both TNG and VOY, am lukewarm toward TOS and love Star Wars (the original three that is).

I'm also lukewarm at best to Babylon 5 and have never seen Battlestar Galactica (neither the original nor the new one), Firefly, Farscape or Doctor Who.

Glad to see most people on here like both! Star wars is alot of fun with a lot of action and religion mixed in.

It was so cool to see all the answers and welcomes with only a few attacks onme for liking star wars.

Blood Oath is the best hour of tv I have ever ever seen! It was so rich in warrior culture! Klingons Rule! This could have been an 2 hour movie and I would have loved it!

Anyone have some fav episodes in season 3 for me to look forward to?

Thanks to all who posted a posative post!!

You're welcome, Kalskylander...but I have to point out that not one person "attacked" you or anybody else for liking Star Wars. Some posters don't like Star Wars, but nobody said anything mean about you or anybody else who does. Well, not so far, anyway. The night is young...;)

Much of the best of the second season is in its final stretch, only beginning with "Blood Oath", in my opinion. So you ought to be in for more treats, yet.

Season three? My favorites have to be a certain two-parter which delight with intrigue and action alike.

I have a feeling that you're going to like season 4. :techman:

I don't want to name it in case it impacts your impression of the episode, but there's a really fantastic story involving Garak and Odo that is very highly regarded.

All Star Wars fans are sick, including myself. I mean, Luke kissing his sister? Urgh! :ack: If they were twin sisters making out a little it would have been cool, but brother and sister? What sort of sicko considers that to be entertainment?

And another thing: I once dated a girl that watched The Empire Strikes Back purely for the "I love you" "I know" bit, and right after that scene she pounced on me and forced me to miss the end of the movie. That's disgusting. And what's even more disgusting is that I was turned on by her being turned on by Han Solo.

Us Star Wars fans are a sick bunch.
