Never seen TOS scenes...round 3

Okay, Warped9, you've got me intrigued. Are you going to depict (for lack of a better term) "live action" Kzinti at some point?

Sincerely,

Bill

I'm sorry, but on the last one I had to cheat. :D

Anyone notice that the Kzinti pirate ship was a reworking (and colouring) of the C57D cruiser from Forbidden Planet? I coloured it red rather than pink (as in the original episode), but I still wanted to evoke the general shape of the original TAS design.

At first it looks like Spock, Sulu and Uhura look like they're caught moving oddly as they make a run for it. But then consider that this is supposedly a rather small planetoid and thus has sufficiently less gravity than a fullsize planet. In such a situation then it's unlikely they could "make a run for it" full out in a normal fashion. Imagine trying to run in a normal way on the Moon.

I couldn't fashion a credible live-action version of a Kzinti as an image, so I resorted to a time honoured film and tv gimmick of using a shadow of something offscreen to prod the viewer's imagination. In this case I took the head of a sabre-toothed tiger and attatched to an image of the Gorn. I then distorted the shape somewhat and then blackened it out, blurred it and made it transparent to some extent to create what looks like a shadow cast on the wall.

It's been awhile, but here we go...

I think Elizabeth Montgomery would have made a cool guest star in either a humourous or dramatic role. And imagine her in a TOS female uniform.

Agnes Moorehead could also have been an interesting guest character in the right role.

^^ Thanks. I went on such a tear with this stuff for such a long time that to an extent I feel somewhat exhausted of ideas. I recently just picked up the Bewitched 1st season box set and that allowed me to get some screen grabs.

This thread subject could go into a new dimension. For my TOS shuttlecraft project I've been delving into the world of audio editing of music and sound f/x. The idea is to create a short audio track of music, sound f/x and voices in concert with a slide presentation of photo manipulated images. I've already done a couple of audio tracks and it sounds pretty cool as something authentic sounding even though it never actually existed.

When I get into it this could be fun. However, I'll still only be able to post the images here while the full PowerPoint slide presentation would have to be downloaded by those interested. Of course, I might also be able to post it as a compressed video file for download.

Any thoughts?

YouTube, Warped9. You'll certainly lose some definition but you can combine your audio and video and post it there.

^^ It's a good suggestion, but in all honestly I'm not crazy about YouTube for that very reason. So much of it looks like pirated stuff and the image is so small.
