Now, if we could just get those uniforms changed! The TMP unis look terrible, and the olive green does NOTHING to help them! The TOS unis would have been much better!

^^ While I don't hate the TMP uniform designs--I do like them much better than the TWoK lunacy--they still could have been better. And the point of my little colouring renders is to show how even these designs could have been better with a little colour. The real trick is to get the shade just right so that it looks natural with the rest of the background. I plan on doing more of these as well as a little storyboarding to get more of a sense on what a post TMP or Phase II series might have been like.

Man, that brings back fond memories of watching Phase II's second season on Paramount as a wee three year old. They're releasing the complete season DVD sets after TOS season 3, right?

Love the work. Just one thing, I think that McCoy's uniform should be white with the olive behind the delta to siginify medical. But other than that, keep up the good work.

You know while I like the look, I don't think it works. Kirk's quarters in TMP & TWOK where just generic state quarters.

In TMP his quarters hadn't yet been finished and personalized since the ship was rushed to launch. In TWoK he really didn't have quarters since he wasn't the ship's captain in the first place. Neither matters because TWoK doesn't influence me anyway and this is supposed to be post TMP.

And he wouldn't either. He was only given command of that mission. Prehaps they'd be finished off with some "decorators choices" but they wouldn't have anything personal, since Decker still had the real Captain's Quarters (which later become Spocks)

^^ Whatever. The images I'm posting are based on the idea that I don't give a fig about "official" Paramount continuity which I think is horse feathers anyway. The images are based on the idea that after TMP we got another series or other films that follwed immediately thereafter where Kirk was once again Captain of the Enterprise. As far as I'm concerned Decker is toast and The Wreck Of Khan and the rest is phooey and never happened, and Kirk and crew are still vital and active and out there beyond the frontier.
And the thread IS called Never Seen TOS Scenes.

^ Oh I know what you're saying, and I know what this thread's about. As I said I really enjoy that image. It can be very easily interpreted as a Phase-II "what-if"

^^ I don't know what was "officially" planned, but if I were so inclined I would have to go further than just putting up a few pictures on the wall so that the room would look more lived in. I imagine one could adapt the image with the right telling decor to stand in for anyone's quarters.

- "The Cage" preceded by about some months to a year and followed by about another decade under Pike.
- Transfer of command to Kirk followed by a few to several months and then "Where No Man Has Gone Before," followed by several months or so more until the ship is refit.
- The 5-year mission comprised mostly of TOS & TAS.
- The ship returns for another mild refit/upgrade and then assigned another deepspace voyage. After said mission there are the supposed two-and-a-half years mentioned in TMP where Kirk, Spock and McCoy have essentially gone their separate ways.
- TMP, actually set some eight years after TOS/TAS, and then followed by an unprecedented third 5-year voyage under Kirk.

Speaking of which they played it on Spike TV last night. For some reason the crew kept changing uniform colours throughout the movie, I lost track of what colour represents what.
