Do not watch the third one. For the love of God, little babies and those marshmellows in the Lucky Charms cereal, do not watch the third one. It is appalling. It really has no redeeming features.

Doesn't Jack Black play the villain?

Yeah, the third one is pretty retarded. The second one is...okay, I guess.

We just got the second one (NETFLIX) in the mail today. I will be making spegetti at 10am tomorrow for my kids and I..and then we will watch it...cant wait...

I think there were just the three movies. There is also a television series somewhere out there, which after the travesty that was the second movie, I again had not the courage to sample.

Never Ending Story-2

Okay..we watched part two this morning...I even made spegetti for the kids and myself, as I did last weekend for part one...

The second movie is not as good as the first, as most of you had said. Though, it had is moments, it was just not as well told and not as tight and...the kiss of death for movies like this...it was boring. Brandis was not a good choice to take over for whoever played Bastion in the first one. And who ever the kid was who played Aturic, or whatever, just didn't have the charm of Noah Hathaway. I guess they recasted for age reasons (movie was made 5 years after the first one I guess) and the previous performers were older...but the movie suffers from it.

I know Brandis is no longer with us, and I actually liked him on Sea Quest. But this movie, I think, needed a more subtle lead. And Brandis over-acts a bit too much in this movie.

The last half-hour of the movie makes up for the boring plodding feel it had for most of the movie. But, the kids liked it, I liked it, but we all agree that it just seemed to be missing any real, well, charm...

I still think a remake of the first one will be a good movie, as long as they keep the 'soul' of the first one in it. We will not bother with #3 since most of you who have seen it have warned us off...

Just got done watching FANBOYS on X360. Loved it!!! Shatner is good with his cameo and this road trip movie really shines...

Yeah, #3 is frigging terrible. I've heard that it does use some as yet unused elements from the book in it, but the execution is really bad.

I've got a soft spot for the original, but I wouldn't mind a well-made remake.

I just finished reading the book, and I loved it. I didn't realize just how much they sliced away to make the movie. I love the movie, but now when I watch it I'll be filling in details.

I was disappointed with The Neverending Story due to its false advertising. It's an hour and forty-two minutes long. That's not even close to neverending.

And having been disappointed when I was young enough to take the title literally, I've just never been able to get into it.

Lionel Hutz once said it was the best lawsuit he ever had...

Certainly some of the alterations are very practical for movie standards. But I think it's worthwhile to read the book, because there's so much more detail there.
