Stranger Things definately has potential to be a part of infamous group of great series ruined by lousy second seasons. Part of me wishes that they would have just concluded the story.
In the still shot on the Youtube link above I can see at least see where you're coming from.Is it just me or does Millie Bobby Brown remind anyone else of a young Adam Baldwin?
I wondered if there was some significance to setting it in the 80s. Didn't know it was purely as an homage. It's kind of like a bunch of '80s movies smooshed together, but done pleasingly.
I picked up on several. Silent Hill and Under the Skin with naked Scar Jo come to mind.So far I've yet to have that, "What a rip-off!" moment. Just a pleasant feeling of vague nostalgia. And mystery.
Yes, very Spielbergian. And just like Super 8, they've gotten a small group of great kids together.
Awesome intro. Loved the grainy neon title and the synthesizer music.Nails the 80's atmosphere, in look and feel. Theme song also reminds me of Halt & Catch Fire's.
Yes, absolutely. I was thinking the same.I think it is brilliant to set the series in the 80's- no smart phones, no internet, if you wanted to find out something you had to go the library or talk with someone.
I thought they did end it. Around episode 4 or 5, it did look like it was headed for a resolution and in the end, it felt complete. Then I went online and found out that they plan to continue the story. I was expecting a new story and a new cast for season 2. I liked that idea because I don't like to see shows dragging on and on. I was about to praise this show for telling a complete story in one season. Oh well.Stranger Things definately has potential to be a part of infamous group of great series ruined by lousy second seasons. Part of me wishes that they would have just concluded the story.
