Nerdy clothing.

While sifting through some magazines from the late '70s/early '80s, I came across this little gem:

I don't know what's better; that they have LEDs in them (and thus, a 9-volt battery), or the way that guy is rocking it.

So what's the nerdiest, geekiest article of clothing you own?

Don't be afraid to tell us. After all, it can't be any more embarrassing than that jacket. ;)

I bought "Blue Harvest" on dvd and it came up a shirt that has the familiar "Star Wars" movie poster pic only with the Family Guy character versions in it's place. Shirt is to small though so I can't wear it.

Jason

Punisher skull t-shirt. SW Special Edition promo t-shirt. ST Starfleet Command seal t-shirt. ST Seven-of-Nine t-shirt. Sunnydale High School t-shirt, now rather distressed.

I've got a fake fur jacket, circa 1980 and looking it complete with puffed shoulders. Can't bring myself to get rid of it - it's just bound to become a design classic sooner or later.

Is it wrong that I'm very tempted to look on eBay for one of them?

The only thing I can think of is this, which prompted a promoter I worked for to inform me "You are not Carson Beckett" though I have got away with a red top that looked suspiciously like the First Contact style Trek uniform.

Though... I'm sure shirts with my own name/brand would be extremely geeky outwith the world of wrestling.

^ And look! Still unused! :D

I wonder how many jackets sold at the time.

There's the Brit term 'anorak', used to describe geeks who wear this kind of bulky nylon jacket. Usually prefaced by the word 'sad'.

Yes, I own one, they're comfortable, warm and waterproof.

Probably. It's from '79, though, so it'd probably fetch a pretty penny.

I my have to check my bank balance - sadly it's taken a bit of a hit with my plans to make a custom uniform to prove a point. When complete, that will fall into supergeek category

I have a Buck Rogers in the 25th Century condom :wtf:

Thats outstanding. I wonder how much it's worth.

Very Roy Cropper ;) Though they are ridiculously comfortable. I've only ever had a high-vis jacket and an old Russian naval coat match up to their level.

I got a DS9 uniform top cheap from forbidden planet once...even wore it to work (it was fancy dress for comic relief or children in need however!)

I have some sci-fi t-shirts and sweaters, nothing particularly embarrassing to wear for leisure activities. I have also a Picard tie that some friends gave me one Christmas that I would never wear even to save my life.

But my most precious possession is a small golden Starfleet delta jacket pin that I wear sometimes with more formal attire: people usually suppose it's a project or consortium logo and don't think twice about it. The geek in me giggles like a schoolgirl.

I once had a navy blue T-shirt that had the UFP logo on it. I thought it looked pretty neat as it wasn't just one of those Trek shirts with Kirk on it with "KIRK" in futuristic writing on it.

Either my plain grey T-shirt with the old-school Batman logo or my "Captain America For President" shirt. Not much beyond that.

I've got a t-shirt that says "It's not the Jedi way". And this was a present from my son!

I have one with a cute little cartoon Klingon where it says "qapla'" underneath, and a Blue Sun t-shirt.

I have various gaming and comic book related t-shirts but I don't wear them outside of the house very often anymore.
