Need webspace for your fics?

I noticed that some of the authors on here use zip files and pdfs to post their stories online, and I wanted to point out that I use a free hosting service for fiction over at HopeStation.net. The links are in my sig file, but me and Mistral have been using it pretty heavily and I like the format a lot. So, if you're interested, just head over and register and try it out. If you read the TOS, they promise never to put ads on the site (otherwise, it's a violation of their agreement with the provider).

I would also like to throw myself out there as someone who will host your work for free. It doesn't have to be fanfic, either. I have a long, personal tradition of trying to help out aspiring artists of various stripes. The least I can do is offer you some space, as long as you will use it for that purpose. Feel free to PM or email me if you're interested. Obviously, I don't run ads, either.

Well, what I offer up front is just some webspace. You get an FTP account, and anything else you might be interested in (email accounts, MySQL databases, etc.) you just have to ask for. You'd have a subdomain of gorzek.com, which is my site. There is a program I wrote that I use for my own writing archive, which I would be happy to set up for anyone who wants to use it, too. But no one is obliged to use any of my programs, or owe me anything at all. I'm just offering free webspace for creative types who could put it to use.

The "Star Trek: Hell's-Gate" (fanon universe) collection of Yahoo groups are also a wonderful archive to upload your ".wps", ".doc", & ".rtf" format work (under 5.1 mb's.) You'll find all of the necessary links, some MP3's, & non Hell's-Gate-based fan fic resources here, including fanfic.net, Expanded Wiki, The Novel Writers' Association, & The Trek Writers' Guild.
