Nearly 5,000 Star Trek Blueprint sheets online -- and still going strong...

Ever since Franz Joseph created the first set of Star Trek blueprints decades ago, fans across the globe have had an ongoing love affair with the 'technical schematics' of all things Trek.

Nearly 15 years ago, I created a small website that, among other things, houses scans of as many Trek-related blueprints as I could get my hands on.

Today, that site -- Cygnus-X1.Net -- is still going strong and is approaching nearly 5,000 blueprint sheets online. I've secured many more blueprints and technical manuals, many of which have not seen the light of day in decades, which I'll be uploading to the site throughout 2019...

When I think blueprints, I think of the 1980's, and Aridas Sofia's works.

I loved the ads in the backs of the old Starlogs. One was a non-trek blueprint, that had a slab-sided ship with plasma emitters that looked like big deflector dishes--and some of you might remember the "Dark Viking" ship.

I never got that one. Gave the former away--and now I wish I hadn't
