NCIS: New Orleans Season One Discussion

Ok... I've stuck with it three episodes. Bakula's accent is bugging the crap out of me. He forgets it in every other scene. I don't think there are any "special guest appearances" next week. We'll see if the show stands on its own. The viewship is cut in about for NCIS:LA since they moved it to Monday. Looks like most people were simply watching because they were too lazy to change the TV.

Good episode tonight. It was nice to get to see Pride's daughter, I was hoping it wouldn't take long for her to show up. The mystery was pretty good. Bakula is doing a great job as always.

Is it just me or did Bakula tone down the accent this episode? I barely noticed it.

I think they toned it done - didn't seem as noticeable.

Maybe they've decided as good and actor as Backula is, accents aren't his thing (and can't recall if he did any in Quantum Leap).

They've show his musical talents, how long before they get him to sing?

Though on the subject of music, does NCIS:NO have more incidental music than the original. Struck me with last weeks ep and didn't notice any music in this week's original.

I change my mind. I think I might be hooked. They did tone down Bakula's accent in this episode and I noticed Lucas Black has been talking a little bit faster. They just need to do with that annoying lab assistant and they've got a hit show.

Tonight's episode was pretty good, though the last few were probably a little better. There were some nice Brody/LaSalle moments. The previews for next week look great. I've always loved Halloween themed episodes.

I thought the new episode tonight was a lot of fun. It was nice to get some more insight into Pride's relationship with his wife. I love Paige Turco.

Glad we finally got an episode without a guest appearance from the other shows.
Those are nice, but lately the spin-offs have been doing them in too quick a succession.

New Orleans is a solid show and actually fits better into the universe than LA does.
They don't really need anyone holding their hand and stuff like that would be better suited as a reward for fans who watch the sister shows as well.

Fun episode tonight. I really like Daryl Mitchell's character. I've been a fan of his since Ed. I woudn't mind if they made him a regular. The case tonight was pretty interesting, and I liked we got more insight into Pride's marriage, though it was sad.

Tonight's case was one of my favorites so far. It wasn't predictable to me at all. I also liked we got a better look at LaSalle and his family life.

Perhaps the best episode of the season tonight. Everyone was great in it, and it was nice to learn more about Pride's backstory.

I enjoyed it too, but it was kind of funny having both NCIS shows of the night be about someone targeting the main character of the show. Not that I complained, because they were both excellent stories, I just thought it was a funny coincidence.

Though I did twig to a possible source of the IR sense before pride did though.

Not sure the daughter of the crime family was as innocent as she made out (even before the final scene unless the source of the money was the guy who wasn't actually a crispy critter after all.

and on a character note, my wife was watching it with me the other week and got excited when Paxton saved the day/cracked the case.

As some-one who's in a wheelchair herself she likes to see that sort of thing (and found out today the actor in question was paralysed in a motorcycle accident some years back).
