Should there be a light at the top of the door alcove? Nice work as usual, by the way.

Thank you. And I'm not certain to be honest. A light isn't indicated in the plans anywhere. Even the McMasters plans
don't show one. But if need be, I'll add one to properly light
the space. Possibly a derivative of the light and screen near
the turbolift. Something I hadn't thought of; so, Thank you
for pointing it out. ;)

Ok, that is the finished tile set..

..and this is the first actual sign.

Ok, so after pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong much of the day....

Here is a sampler of signage. The sign on top is an assemblage of the tileset I worked
up over the last several days. The two beneath it are low poly boxes with texture.
First one is a dxt5 based dds with bump at 2048x2048. The second is a TGA file with
bump at 1024 x 1024. Now, I did a TGA at 2048 and there is little difference between
the high res texture and the low res - so little it isn't worth showing IMHO; but, I have
it if anyone is interested in seeing it. The color differential is not in the format, it is simply
rendered under a pale blue omni.. which I haven't decided if I like at the moment; but, ..
Will probably redo the texture in white and go on; but, overall happy with the dxt5 texture.

Cool. Is that an image/color and a bump map? Or just a straight image map?

That was just a test of the tileset. Figured I couldn't very well tease everyone with a bunch of alphas and not assemble a sign to show off the work. ;)

This isn't texture, though I've captured the images now necessary to create this full batch and began
working them in photoshop. Incredibly happy with the crispness of the new batch. Got rid of the blue
omni as well. These are the signs necessary to Deck 2. There may be one or two more when I decide
whether to post caution signs for the gangways or not.. we'll see.

..And here are the finished textures. Really cranked the bump down. Guess it's about time to start hangin them up.

One more group added - finished the Deck 3 Signage. Actually mixed some of these up last
post; so, ..

Wow, you are letting yourself in for a LOT of signage! It will look cool, though.

Sorry, I still won't be satisfied with anything less than 430 individualized door signs. :D

This isn't showing much at the moment; but, it's the beginning work on Deck 2 as it's currently laid out.
Doing a lot of digging for reference images for furniture and equipment to populate the labs with and
at the same time working up references for use in designing the life support systems.

Kewel, looks great so far. The bridge turbo lift gave me a moments pause, Left me wondering "what's he doing" then I realized what the deal was, LOL.

These are the new lab tables created this morning and placed in the Geology and Biology lab
spaces. They'll also wind up in the Chemistry lab before the day is out.

All the basics have been put into Spock's office. Furnishings are in. Now it just needs decor
to finish it off.

Big update. Beings as this is my third day of vacation, I started early ;)

The cabinetry and counters are essentially trimmed up to the hull at this point for
The Geology and Biology lab spaces. Figuring where there might be problems with the
hull required me to go ahead and cut in the window placements in the outer skins; so,
The skins were imported and trimmed up. More needs done there; but, the essential
work needing done in order to proceed is out of the way.

The birdseye shots show the work done this morning on the interior. The first person
shots were me having fun. Still workin. Might be more updates yet today.

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. Your lab work benches are spot on. I'm a dental technician in my civilian life and those stations look very familiar...
