You know, I kept wanting to have Duke lose to West Virginia, but, at the last minute, I changed my mind. I had actually forgotten I had changed it and was thrilled when Duke lost (well, I'd be thrilled anyway, but I was extra happy ). Then I checked my bracket and found out that I had changed my mind and picked them to lose in the next round (I had Perdue beating Xavier, though, so my that part of my bracket is FUBARed anyway).

Oh well, at least Nova won and Duke lost. If I hadn't filled out a bracket, I'd be thrilled right now.

Stanford and Marquette is getting to be a rather chippy kind of game. Technicals here and there, the Stanford coach has been tossed. It's fun.

Bracket, schmacket. I LOVE when Duke loses - I don't care if I picked them to win the championship or not. I wouldn't mind seeing a few others go down, but Duke falling is always a premium. I don't let the fact that I picked a team to win (or lose) affect my true feelings for them. I picked UT to lose, but I'm sure hoping they win.

I like filling out a bracket because it gives me someone to root for. Beyond my state teams (UW, WSU, Gonzaga) I really don't care who wins or loses. Having them in my bracket makes me a fan, at least for today.

Can't believe that game. Stanford escaped, and even that might be an understatement. At least they're in the sweet 16, but damn that was close.

Marquette had one guard.... McNeil ... who was incredible. I really thought he was going to be the difference, because he hit almost everything

Yikes! #1 UCLA is in trouble, down by three to A&M at halftime. I'm not too worried, they're good enough to come back, but it's disconcerting to see my champ down early.

You think that's bad ... I have UCLA in the Final Four, and Pitt in the Elite Eight. Right now BOTH teams are trailing at halftime.

I'm in the same boat. UCLA is my pick to win it all, and I have Pitt in the Elite 8, taking out Memphis next week. I think they can both pull it out though, they're both underachieving so far.

EDIT: Ok, UCLA, Pitt, you've had your fun. Now finish it. Stop playing around. Seriously guys!

Ditto... but I was very impressed with the way Michigan St played. VERY well coached, very in control. They never wilted against some impressive pressure form Pitt.

UCLA still trails, but I like the way they look right now better than I do A&M.

My God, Texas A&M, you had victory in the palms of your hands and you just flat out blew it. That player looked like he was going to be sick sitting there alone on the A&M bench at the end of the game. He should be.

Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. You and Belmont should go out on a date.

I feel truly sorry for A&M, because they played their heart & soul out on that court. But man.... UCLA won that one with defense. They may have been lucky to some extent, but they just shut down A&M's offense - admittedly not the most frightening in the world - in the second half.

What a heckuva day! Overtimes, last second plays, upsets.....

I can't believe my elite 8 is still intact. With all the crazyness today, I thought it was a lot worse. Both games in Anahiem (Stanford and UCLA) were the best games of the day, even over WV beating Duke. Looking forward to tomorrow.
