I dunno, I liked Tech coach Mike Leach's suggestion for the tiebreaker even better: graduation rate!![]()
Heyyy..... this guy really is a mad genius! I like that suggestion.

I'd say Texas got jilted...
Apparently the Red River Rivalry doesn't mean anything.
Let the top two play in their own National Title game on New Years'.
Uh huh ..... you're never guilty of anything similar, are you?Think perhaps your hatred of Oklahoma is affecting your judgment, Commander Vaughn?

Whatever you say, Sparky. My purported and totally unproven guilt doesn't mitigate anyone else's, Scooter.![]()
Oh, and ... Rutgers is number one! Number one, I tell you! They could beat any of these teams!

Have you seen tie-break #7If there is any enmity to be had, it needs to be directed to the Big 12 itself because of their somewhat goofy tie-breaking scenario.
I would have voted for Texas to play in the championship of the Big 12. They won head to head. The Big 12 will adopt the SEC rules next year which will allow this
Bingo! That's how the SEC does it. I bet you the moon Mack Brown lobbies for the Big 12 to change to these rules next year and it gets approved. I personally think Oklahoma is the better of the 2 teams, but I just can't see how you can't pick Texas for the head to head, the most important factor IMO.You can't just take it as is. That's why other conferenfces systems work the way they do. THere are criteria that eliminate the third team first, then you go to head-to-head usually if both teams are ewithin 5 spots on the BCS scale.
you throw out the head you don't likeBut how do you evaluate head to head when there's an even three way tie?
It goes everyway for "if they had gotten the job done"You may have something there, Tighseye.
It's not like I can't understand Texas feeling slighted, but if they'd gotten the job done against Tech they would be in the championship game now. Them's the breaks. Three way tie, that's how it's done.
(I would like to point out that OSU's three losses came to UT, Tech, and OU and very likely is better than most of the 2 loss schools out there. They beat the #2 team in the nation and lost to UT by 4)
