Georgia has succumbed to the latest "fad" with college football fans, but it doesn't seem as effective as Penn St.'s "white out". Purdue tried it lsat season, but the "black out" just doesn't seem to have the same effect. It's not as noticeable, especially at a night game.
Texas has been great this year. Definitely top 10 if not top 5 ranking.

Texas has played precisely nobody. It's easy to look great under those circumstances.
While such may well change in the coming weeks, they've thus far proven themselves a pretty solid Top 25 team, and nothing more. My best guess is two losses for UT in its next five games.
On the other hand, if they get through that stretch unbeaten, they've a tremendous argument for number one.
Don't faint, but this time I have to go with JM1776, here. Arkansas is "someone" in name only. Their record is 2-2. The two wins were against Western Illinois 28-24 and Louisiana-Monroe 28-27. Not exactly stirring results. The two losses are a bit more damning - home to Alabama 49-14 and at Texas 52-10.No one? They played Arkansas!
Both of those teams have own all of their games in very convincing fashion. Although Missouri did have a somewhat tough time against Illinois, the game wasn't as close as the score implies.Who has Missouri played? Illinois who isn't even ranked anymore?
Penn State? Who have they played?
That is often true. The SEC for example plays fewer BCS teams in their non-conference schedule than any other conference. Still, their post-season record mitigates that somewhat.Half the time most teams play a soft opening week.
BTW, JM1776 you wee right on the mark about Alabama. Nobody has a more impressive opening so far than the Tide. Destruction of Clemson, WKy, and Arkansas and solid wins over Tulane and Georgia.... works for me. And it's no coincidence that they seem to have the most impressive offensive and defensive lines.
The day has been more interesting than I thought it'd be, so far. Florida had a tougher time with Arkansas than the score indicates. Penn St. really struggled with Purdue. Kansas is in a nailbiter with Iowa St.The Ohio State/Wisconsin game is on at the same time as the Oregon/USC game tonight Neroon. Looks like we'll both have something to watch during commercial breaks.
