NCAA Football 2008 Discussion - It All Starts Here.

Looks like the Ducks have finally woken up.

The Georgia/South Carolina game is pretty good.

You gotta love a QB named Smelley. Smelley the Gamecock.

Tee hee...snort...

Yeah they do seem to have woken up. I find that surprising actually, Oregon isn't noted for playing comeback football.

Geez there were a lot of unforced errors on Michigan's part today.

Seven fumbles, four of them lost, and two interceptions (one in the endzone) really killed them today. I can't even say that Notre Dame won the game. There's no way any team can turn the ball over THAT many times and win. Michigan just gagged one away big time.

Though on the bright side, I saw some flashes of offense today. Rich Rod's system will work, it'll just take some time to get it going.

And Oregon pulls it out.

Never any doubt in my mind. They were playing Purdue, after all.

Well, at least Cal lost to a non-conference team.

A loss is still a loss though. Now I'm even pulling for Ohio St. more just to mix up the Pac 10 a little. I couldn't watch the game today, but I did see the highlights and Cal looked bad.

True, but all I care about is the Rose Bowl and the only way for Cal to do that is to either win the P10 outright or to have USC go to the national championship and Cal go by default. So I would rather they lose to a non-conference opponent and work their kinks out than to someone, like say, UCLA. :p

Cal did have a poor performance today, but some of that can be attributed to an early game on the opposite coast in a hostile stadium. Not say that Cal doesn't have some things to work on, but those are three major factors that worked against them today.

Well, my game was boring. The second team was in halfway through the second quarter, although the first string had a cameo at the end of the half, and the third string saw a nice chunk of the second half.

Oh give it a rest already. USC is scary good, that's for certain, but right now, OSU is beating themselves. They clearly belong in this game and on this field. However, the Trojans are definitely the better team.

So far, the OSU offense is doing a decent job of moving the ball. Trouble is two stupid OSU penalties took away two 1st and goal from the 2 yd line situations. This game could easily be 14-14, at the worst 14-10. USC hasn't made many mistakes, but that's the killer. For the Buckeyes to have a chance without Beanie, they needed to play near flawless ball. That hasn't been happening. I'm almost at the point where I'd say to keep Pryor in the game.

Let's see how the second half goes, before we bury Caesar.

Ohio State plays good teams and they get killed every time. This is proof. I think Vanderbilt could take on OSU right now. OVERRATED!!! They'll probably still be in the top 10 when the polls come out though. Gotta keep this team way up there every week.

Oh c'mon Neroon, I'm obligated to give you a hard time. Of course, when Oregon beats USC later this season I'll really have to mock Ohio State. :p

Ohio State does more damage to themselves during these tough games than the other team causes.

When has the dual QB offense ever been successful for us? Just put Pryor in as a running back for christ sakes!
