NCAA Football 2008 Discussion - It All Starts Here.

Seriously, I expect this game to be over in less than 10 minutes. I hope I'm wrong for selfish reasons - I want all the teams Penn State has beaten to do well.

Good grief.

So far USC looks terrible, and Oregon State looks great.

Let's get it in gear, Trojans!

:scream:

Maybe an OSU will beat USC after all. :wtf:

I'm telling you the more I watch this game, the more convinced I am that when Ohio St lost to USC, it was a loss by coaching. I love the Oregon St. aggressive game plan, both on offense and defense.

digits, I hate to say it, but USC tonight looks like Ohio St did against you two weeks ago. Getting hit hard on both sides, making stupid penalties, and getting maybe a bit out coahced (hard to tell on that one). That penalty when ity looked like USC had converted a third down for a long gain was the biggest play right now. It staunched the momentum that USC was building.

There is a lot of time left, but it's going to be tough for the Trojans. Props to the Beavers so far.

Wait a sec .... uhh, nevermind. Not gonna go there

I'm stunned, that's all I can say.

Oregon State is just running all over USC. Our offense is bad, our defense is bad.

USC is capable of overcoming this, but they'll have to fix a lot during halftime. My one suggestion would be: PLAY THE RUN UP THE MIDDLE!!!

:scream:

I don't know if the middle will be avaialble. So far the Oregon St DLine is clogging up tha tmiddle to the point where McKnight & Co keep ahving to go wide. This game really has an almost eerie resmeblance to two weeks ago......

Are you feeling any better now, digits? ;)

That Oregon St. running back is impressive. Slightly built but very good and strong. But their receiver is apparently battlign bad leg cramps.

USC has closed it to 21-14, but I have to admit I'm impressed with the way OSU is playing tonight.

I loved the sign an Oregon St. fan has ..."We Ain't Scared!"

Damn right they ain't!!! It's been a great game plan by the coaches, getting in with some stunting and aggressive, hard hitting style. Who'da thought USC would have to go for it on a 4th down play, early in the 3rd quarter?!?!?!

WOW! What a way for this game to end, effectively. Sanchez throws a high pass that gets picked off and nearly run back for a TD.....

The way the first two game went for USC , there is no way I saw this coming.

It's the second time OSU has beaten a Number One, and both times it was USC in Corvallis. Hard to believe. I hope the rest of USC's opponents (like Oregon) watched and were taking notes.

Well, that was quite the upset.

Not as bad as USC's loss last year, where they lost at home to 40 point underdogs. This time they lost on the road to 24.5 point underdogs.

It's the first time in nearly a quarter of a century - since Auburn's loss to Tennessee in 1985 - that a number 1 ranked team has lost to an unranked opponent. Wow.

Well this season just got interesting for the Pac-10. I'm rooting for either Oregon or Cal to take it to the Rose Bowl!

I find it astonishing how often USC manages to lose a game that will have people calling them "overrated" no matter what they do with the rest of their year.

Frankly, I'd take a two-loss SEC team over an 11-1 USC or Ohio State for a BCS championship game.

Looks like the Georgia-Alabama winner this weekend has strongest claim to number one thus far.

No kidding. USC is clearly one of, if not THE top program in the country the past several years. Yet there has often been one game where they somehow overlook their opponent. Or it at least appears they overlooked them.

I might do the same, but it would depend mightily upon just to whom those two losses were for that SEC team. For all its success, the SEC consistently plays more non-BCS schools than anyone else. Maybe that's the way to go, given their usual post-seasons success. For example, if LSU's 2 are against Florida and Georgia, then it depends how close those game were. OTOH, if even oen of the losses is to say Tulane or Arkansas, then all bets are off.

Georgia.... I'd go with for sure, but I think I'd take Oklahoma before 'Bama

In other PAC-10 news, Darron Thomas, the Ducks 5th string QB who almost pulled off the comeback against Boise State in last week's game, suffered injuries in a car accident yesterday. Shit, now we're losing quarterbacks without even playing a game. It's beyond amazing at this point, it's a damned curse or something.
