NBC: Upfront, no infront, no just a list of shows

Depends if Leno wants to semi-retire and take a bit more time off or not but he's a famed workaholic.

Even then, they could give him a lighter schedule at NBC and he'd spend the rest of that time touring, doing stand-up. It probably has more to do with how much time NBC is willing to pay Leno for.

Mostly, I don't care. The only shows I watch on NBC anymore are Law & Order and SNL. (And I'm looking forward to The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.)

I would not be surprised if 'Earl' gets the axe. Based on Thursday's episode, they certainly seem to think they are getting a raw deal from the execs.

rumour has it FOX would pick it up if NBC did drop it.

seems kind strange to me, FOX has no live action comedy's, unless they are making a big push for those next Fall, I dont see why they would have an interest in it.

ok it has TilDeath, but why is that still on air?

A straight list works just fine. There is so much over-analysis of everything, I don't blame the net for wanting to skip some of that for now.

ok it has TilDeath, but why is that still on air?

It's not! BUT IT'S BEEN RENEWED! That is the biggest :wtf: Fox have done in a long time!

I went off the air with about 4 episodes shown in season 3, like October 2008 but it had been renewed for some time and kept under the carpet.

^^ I'm amazed that 'Til Death lasted three episodes let alone three seasons, it's woeful.

Maybe Fox renewed it for several seasons sometime back and decided to pull it so they could rejigger the schedule, or move it to summer or something.

I seem to remember ABC doing that several years ago with Roseanne or Grace Under Fire or one of those older shows. It was showing twice a week to burn off new episodes after being MIA for awhile.

wasnt ABC gonna have a show similar to Lost called Flash Forward?

Yes, and they're advertising it already, which bodes pretty well for pickup. (I suppose they could still decide otherwise.) It's in the DHD link I posted above.

Whether its similar to Lost remains to be seen. Could be just one of those sci-fi-gimmick shows that flame out quickly when folks get bored of the gimmick.

The first two seasons were bad but somehow still watchable. They then completely redid the show and made it worse!

It was pulled after the 7th episode in season 3, back in the fall. It was picked up in mid January for 22 more episodes! That means there will be 37 episodes for next season!

46 weeks a year, I dont know exactly what John Stewart does, but that is pretty much year round.
It's almost like he has a job!

I don't know about you, but I work about 51.5 weeks a year.
I hope you're getting paid well if you're only getting three holidays a year. I'd bet most people are getting one to three weeks depending on the usual Memorial Day/Independence Day/Labor Day/Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's (plus days around them) and vacation time.

National holidays don't really count. If I'm working 4 days instead of 5 because I get a 3-day weekend, I still count that as a week of work.

Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day are the only days my business is closed. Such is the nature of the restaurant industry. I'm not saying I work 50-60 hours a week every week of the year. But I still work at least 30 hours every single week, unless I take [unpaid] days off.

My main point was that working only 46 weeks a year means you're taking 6 weeks off! That's a month and half of vacation time, and that's not normal.

Any word on Heroes?
Heores is pretty safe for next fall, I would say its all but confirmed, after that however really depends on ratings.

that is very strange.

I only work on Wednesdays, I get a 6 day weekend, but I still count that as a week. :p

Any word on Heroes?

Someone at NBC months ago that there would be 18-20 episodes of Heroes next year, I'm betting on 18 and then it is canceled.

I seem to remember a failed series based on the Parenthood film. They couldn't make it work coming off the success of the film and think it'll work now? Good think it'll be NBC's money not mine.

TONY ROBBINS? I'm gagging already.

I would not be too surprised if Chuck did come back as a mid season, the way NBC does a 52 week schedule, I think it will have space for it.
