NBC is reviving Heroes

Well so much for picking up where the series left off of at, without Claire and Sylar the miniseries loses two very importnat characters.

I thought this was more a spinoff continuation and less of just a flat out continuation?

No one remembers how the show ended, if they are going to follow up on that then this whole thing will be a failure.

Claire showed the whole world that she had superpowers by taking a plunge off of a ferris wheel.

Some people remember ;)

I'm glad Quinto won't be back. Well, actually, I'm glad Sylar won't be back. Quinto is good. It's kind of a shame about Claire, but it's probably best that they do All-New, All-Different Heroes. Have they said if HRG will return? I've lost track. He's the most important character.

The finale of the first series will be easy to deal with. Most people will brush it off as some kind of hoax and go on with their lives.

Like that Sylar won't be in it. Saw something that there will be new characters. Before it airs, I'm gonna have watch it again. Might have to buy the other seasons.

Yeah I think Noah Bennet is returning. I lost interest when they revealed we wouldn't have Claire or Peter back.

I gave up some point in season 3 because they couldn't give the same character the same goal for more than two episodes in a row.

I'd be optimistic about a revival because a short run would be forced to be more focused.

Cool. Noah is the Professor X of Heroes. As long as we have him, I'm content to see what happens.

The only three characters I cared to see were HRG, Claire, and Peter. At least we got one of them? /shrug

Hiro was great in a lot of ways, his abilities made him hard to write for and he frankly wasn't effectively written after the first season. Peter was unquestionably the star, but he had plenty of screentime so I'm not upset about that. Claire at least had some new story options (with the ending of the show), but she also was annoying much of the time and had way too much screentime overall during the original run.

If the characters come back, guest appearances would be much better.

At this point it's been long enough that I really don't care about the original characters. This new show would be better served with a brand new cast. Heroes: TNG.

Yea, Peter, Sylar and Hiro all kept getting written into a corner, where they became too powerful and had to be rebooted to take them down a notch, and it became too repetitive and inconsistent. The Clone sisters played by Ali Larter, too got the shaft.

Ando, though, had no powers, other than that time near the end of the Series, so, he escaped most of the jacking around the writers did.

I liked Hiro, but his story was told. I don't need him to come back. I also liked Mohinder, but they really screwed him up in later seasons. I'd rather see a bunch of new characters, each with their part to play, like in season one.

I wonder if this comes back for more seasons if they'll go back to the original plan and turn it into a AHS/Fargo style anthology with new casts and characters each season?

I was wondering the same thing. Given the success of American Horror Story with that format, they would be more likely to try it now. I think the upcoming show Scream Queens will be using the format as well (assuming it goes more than one season).

I wouldn't mind SOME characters swapped out. i don't think it's necessary to do a complete turnover...but they NEED to learn form Heroes past, and especially Glee...where they've completely marginalized the newcomers who SHOULD be the focus, and instead focusing totally on fan favorites.

At this point, i'm concerned about diversity..the two announcements (especially Jack Coleman) are great, but hope they open it up. What i loved about Season 1 included Mohinder as the narrator/glue for them all, and having things happen all over the world, such as Japan.

By the way, here's a current picture of Micah (Noah Gray caney)...he's looking like lead material to me!

. He doesn't have much going on right now (unless he's going to college)

And any females?
