Miami Heat players moved to tears after another close loss
Bulls are now 3-0 against the team of supermen. I think 2 of them they were missing Noah and 1 they were missing Boozer.
That about sums it up for me. At least it goes to show having three #1 players doesn't automatically make you three times better.

Of course, Boston is leading the Eastern Conference, which kinda kills your point...
You have to have talented players in the proper spot, playing the proper roles to make an effective team. I don't care much where LeBron "took his talents" but I could have told you before the season that the Heat would fail. Three big egos instead of three players playing the proper role to make an effective whole. The Miami Heat could take a lesson from Scott Presti and the Oklahoma City Thunder which just defeated Phoenix in overtime. Durant was having a bad shooting night, so Westbrook and Harden (who scored a career high) stepped up their games and got it done. And Kendrick Perkins (already signed to a four year deal) hasn't set foot on the court yet, still having the luxury of time to rest his knee. 
Not really. Bulls took Boston to 7 games a couple years ago, and this is a way better team than that one.
Though as high as the Bulls will seed this time means they would be seeing Boston in probably the Eastern finals.
That said, I'm not a huge Bulls fan, or even a BB fan. Should be interesting no matter what.
And Dorian, I wouldn't say the Heat have failed just yet, but they aren't looking to go 82-0 like I think they figured they would.
My point is Boston did the same thing as Miami, they just traded for their superstars rather than signing them as free agents.
Outside of Garnet, were any of the others really superstars?

I thought the Melo trade was too lopsided at first. The Knicks gave up the farm for him. Wasn't sure what they'd have left after Amare and Melo. They play well on the floor together, one's a low post guy, the other a wingman. Plus I forgot how good a PG Billups is.
You could make a case for 4-5 teams coming out of the East, it's wide open right now. All of them have strengths and flaws.

Ray Allen without a doubt. Paul Pierce I believe was an All Star. He certainly was the mid-level star that was expected to carry a team, but couldn't (sort of thought of as a poor man's Kobe Bryant). Back when the Celtics had Pierce and Antoine Walker, Pierce was portrayed as the star.
Granted, none of them were at LeBron James' level, but I do think they were considered stars.
I wouldn't have considered Bosh a "star" of the caliber of James or Wade, but at least a #1 guy on a team, so I can see what you mean.

I personally think it's the latter, but I haven't been watching their games, so I don't know. As much as Basketball focuses on star power (more than any sport, imo), it still is a team game.
^They had to snap out of it sooner or later, and they seem to have the Lakers' number.
