National anthems that you like.

Same here. Every time Ireland plays France at sport (particularly in rugby, where our bad-enough national anthem is replaced by an even-worse original composition called Ireland's Call), I think that if the match were to be decided on anthems, Ireland would be absolutely hammered.
I've always been fond of O Canada. Not just because I love Canada in general (although I do 
), I actually like the song itself.
IMHO, O Canada is a more appropriate anthem than the Star-Spangled Banner, simply because it's an anthem about the nation itself, and not just the flag!
(That's another reason I want America the Beautiful to be OUR anthem. However: the downside to that would be, when singing that song, I always start to cry when I get to the verse about the alabaster cities

@EmoBorg: As far as East German national anthems go, I prefer the one they did in Top Secret!. Seems a bit more applicable to a country like that.
