Nardole, a missed opportunity

One of the things about the final seasons of Capaldi was the introduction of Nardole. It always nagged me not having Moffat devote a few episodes to his back story all while interwieving it within the running storyline proper in the final season. Its also quite a shame we couldn't have bypassed season 8 a bit and start off with Bill on adventures so by season 10, there was more depth to her character. I wonder if in the future, we see where Nardole met the Doctor and ends up somwhere in Capaldi's era with clever CGI manipulation show how the two came together, with Matt Smith, throw in a cameo and film a new scene, bringing capaldi back just for that. I suppose some one is gonna say a Big finish production, or novel. While fascinated I would be to read or listen about it. It just isn't the same, as seeing and hearing it on the Telli, but I will say this, I feel like there was a good opportunity missed by Focusing so much on Clara. And certainly a window for a possible look at Nardole's life before the 12th Doctor and he met, having already met a future Doctor.

The Doctor first meets Nardole during the events of The Husband's of River Song. The Doctor explains how they ended up travelling together in The Return of Doctor Mysterio and the events of the following series. I don't see the need of every new companion having an unnecessary complicated backstory or past with The Doctor. I liked the little bits of Nardole's past woven throughout series 10.
