Narada Salvage

During the first encounter with the Narada there was obviously a lot of damage done to the Narada due to the collision between the Narada and the Kelvin.

With Starfleet monitoring the "Lightning storm in space" and sending the U.S.S. Kelvin to investigate I would have to assume that other factions monitoring Starfleet would also have discovered the lightning storm in space as well and sent ships of their own to investigate.

Would the Narada have left behind any salvage that would have been picked up and then reversed engineered to create new materials from?

I would have to think that with all of the attacks on the Narada in the new time line that some faction would be able to salvage some debris and reverse engineer it.

Maybe a new faction designed by V'Ger to ensure that the hate V'Ger sensed with Nero would not come back to destroy V'Ger.

Even though this is in the wrong forum; originally (in the original version of the script) the disabled Narada was captured by the Klingons shortly after the Kelvin collision. The Romulans spent some years (20 as I recall) in a Klingon prison camp where presumably during that time; the Narada was repaired. So, any advanced technology would have most certainly fallen into the hands of the Klingons.

Of interest is that the Klingon prison scenes were filmed but were edited out of the final version of the film.
