Name That Trek

Oh, shoot! And I'd just convinced myself that Bashir was snarky enough to say a thing like that.

But . . .

Garak isn't half-bad at irony.

Given the characters eliminated, it involving Bashir, and LadyT'Anna's suggestion, I'll take it for granted that it's Garak and as a "genre" episode that I have somewhat more knowledge of than the vast majority of the series, I'll venture it's Garak to Bashir in Our Man Bashir.

If correct, I cede the next entry to LadyT'Anna for the aforementioned nudge and the fact that I think she didn't get to follow-up with one when she answered the Enterprise quote accurately. So, good Lady, batter up!!!

That's correct!

That quote is the the kind of inside joke only DS9 would do. By that episode the viewers have already witnessed numerous holodeck malfuctions in Star Trek and Garek's quote is the writers acknowledging that everyone watching already knows something is about to go wrong.

(rereads the most recent exchange) LeadHead, I don't know whether it was so much a guess on my part as a last desperate throw. ;) I'm thinking Drone got it before I did with respect to characters, episode, and context and should therefore assign the next quotation.

May we have a ruling, please? :)

My take on it is that Drone gave the turn to you, sine you had done much of the guessing that made the solution clear, or at least guessable. I think you've got the wheel, Lady T'Anna! :)

Gentlemen, you are being far too kind in your opinions, seeing as I had no context to supply in re: the most recent clue. Nonetheless, and thanking you kindly, I will accede to your chivalrous requests and provide the next clue:

"For the first time in my life, someone wanted me as I was."

For some reason I'm thinking it could be Mardah, Jake's girlfriend in "The Abandoned," while she's talking to Sisko.

^ If Odo, it wouldn't be Lwaxana but Kira he was talking about.

If it was Kira talking about Shakaar or Bareil, I can't recall any occasion.

FWIW I don't think it's TNG or VOY, at least, not the more immediate occasions that come to mind. And I can't imagine anyone on ENT being wanted for who they were - ha jus' kidding. With love, I kid.

T'Anna's quote again:

"For the first time in my life, someone wanted me as I was."

^ Actually I could see it being Odo making his case for marrying Lwaxana in "The Muse."
