I'm thinking it's Drive. Not only is there generically a rally, but if I remember correctly there's also asteroid dodging at some point that takes us back to one of the more hallowed entries in the Star Wars series.
No to all answers so far, but the pod races reference, the submarine chase, and the Death Star guesses were good.
In fact, one of these guesses is somewhat close.

It's a pretty famous scene out of Star Wars too.
Not the most famous one, but If you've seen it, you'd recognize the scene easily.

There's something with star trek written on it where a wise old dude recruits a young dude to follow in his father's footsteps and then appears to die on the villains planet killing weapon. There's a bar fight see, and this girl who the hero fancies who ultimately goes off with his older soon to be best friend who he keeps arguing with and....
Is it where Kira and Dukat wear Breen uniforms and remove the helmets to speak when rescuing the Bajoran prisoners and Ziyal in 'Indiscretion'? The bit where Dukat goes into Ziyal's cell and takes off the helmet has a very "I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you" vibe. Until he tries to kill her.
