1. The Enterprise was only teleported a long distance away, but it could have been teleported into a sun or dispersed as done with Redjac.
2. Scotty was willing to sacrifice himself in saving the Enterprise.
- sub-clue: senses - Scotty says he senses something is wrong, in this case, the magnetic field constraining the antimatter was reversed.
